Do you have an hour a week to spare? That hour could change a life.

For many older people, the days can feel long — but the winter nights feel even longer when you're on your own.

Loneliness is a quiet struggle that affects thousands of elderly people in our community. A simple chat, a warm smile, or a listening ear can make all the difference.

We’re looking for caring, friendly volunteers to become befrienders—people who give their time to connect with an elderly person through home visits, or short walks. It’s a small gesture that brings enormous comfort.

What you need:

A warm, kind nature

Willingness to listen and talk

Just 1 or 2 hours a week

We provide:

Full training and ongoing support

Flexible volunteering

The chance to make a real difference—especially when it’s needed most
